Baptism

Our salvation rests upon the fact that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, that He was buried, and that on the third day, He was raised from the dead (1 Corinthians 15: 1-4). Baptism is a personal re-enactment of the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Christ. We are united with Christ in Baptism: (Romans 6:3-5)

We believe that everyone needs to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, believe it, then repent and be baptized into Christ for the remission of their sins, in order to be saved (Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; Matthew 28:19-20

1. Baptism is immersion in water: (Romans 6:3-5). It is a burial in water.

2. Baptism is a personal act of obedient faith — therefore we do not practice infant baptism.

3. Baptism is one of the clear commandments of Jesus – a necessary act of faith. Jesus, Himself, was baptized (Matthew 3: 13-15), not because He had sins, but to show us all how to fulfill righteousness.
